Conference History

NEWCAS

The mission of the IEEE Interregional NEWCAS Conference (NEWCAS) is to stimulate research activities and enhance interaction between researchers in the fields of circuits and systems.

Given its historic founding by the Microsystems Strategic Alliance of Quebec (ReSMiQ), NEWCAS is held in Quebec once every 2 years, except in 2016 when it was organized in another Canadian province.

The conference was created in 2003, and a merger agreement was made in 2008 with a French conference called TAISA. Since then, it has alternated between IEEE regions 7 and 8, mostly between Quebec and France. The conference is always held during the second half of June.
